In the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, we’re treated to an interesting set of developments as Boba Fett becomes the new crime lord of Tatooine alongside Fennec Shand.

There’s a new kingpin in Tatooine

While fans are happy to see Boba Fett star in his show, not everyone in the show’s universe is pleased to see Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett take his place as the leader of Star Wars’ deserted planet. Luckily, he’s not alone. Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand is there to help keep all the criminals in check while proving that they’re not as sadistic as Jabba and the Huts - well, for the most part. Don’t worry, the arrival of Boba Fett’s new shop doesn’t necessarily spell the end for more The Mandalorian. Earlier this year, we received confirmation that Season 3 of The Mandalorian was set to start filming as soon as production wrapped up on the Book of Boba Fett. This suggests that we could see Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin come back sometime in 2022. With that said, it’s best to keep our eyes focused on the now with Boba Fett ushering in a new era of crime on Tatooine in his shop. The Book of Boba Fett is set to premiere on December 29 exclusively on Disney+.
