How long is the base game of Dying Light 2?
Techland’s open-world zombie title, Dying Light, was released back in 2015. While the game didn’t rake in the awards, it did earn itself a spot in the hearts of many fans. It also didn’t hurt that Techland continued to support the game over the years. But, while Dying Light ended up getting several post-launch content, the game wasn’t massive enough to take hundreds of hours to complete let alone 500 hours. So, you can only imagine the surprise of several fans from around the world when Techland claimed that Dying Light 2: Stay Human had enough content that’s good for 500+ hours.
— Dying Light (@DyingLightGame) January 8, 2022 The “500 hours” statement generated mixed reactions from fans. Some were happy to know that Techland put in so much effort for Dying Light 2: Stay Human. Meanwhile, others felt that Techland might have overdone it. In a later tweet (linked above), Techland clarified that Dying Light 2: Stay Human won’t necessarily require such a commitment to complete from start to finish. Ultimately, Dying Light fans should just be happy that the sequel is finally coming. Dying Light 2 was supposed to be released in 2020. However, Techland went dark for the entire year, giving fans zero news about the sequel. It wasn’t until March 2021 that the studio confirmed Dying Light 2’s new release window. However, after confirming Dying Light 2’s official title and release date, Techland would delay the game to February 4, 2022. The good news is that Dying Light 2 has since gone gold, so it should be primed to release in a few weeks.
