When is Squid Game Season 2 going to arrive?
The ending of Squid Game season 1 remains very much open to interpretation. But, at face value, we can take it as Gi-hun deciding not to get on a plane to see his family so that he can go back to put an end to the titular games. However, if Gi-hun returns to the arena, there’s no telling what would happen. Is he still going to be one of the participants? Or, as the popular theory suggests, is Gi-hun going to become the new Front Man? If you ask Lee Jung-jae, he’s down to surprise everyone with an unexpected plot twist if Squid Game comes back for a second season. In a People interview, Lee, the actor behind Player 456, otherwise known as Seong G i-hun, revealed a potential storyline for the deadly game’s winner in Season 2. Just like the show’s millions of fans all over the world, Lee is hoping that Season 2 comes with a twist. He also admitted talking to series creator Dong-hyuk about his character’s return to the arena. To be more specific, he said that the director confirmed that Gi-hun will be “playing in the arena again.” As we might have already mentioned, Squid Game is one of Netflix’s most popular shows. Even though it eventually ceded its place at the top of the charts, Squid Game remained popular enough for months. Not to mention, the series has since inspired countless other spin-offs, games, and even real-life adaptations. Because of its popularity, it’s only a matter of time before Season 2 is confirmed, although the last we heard of it, the streaming platform still hasn’t renewed Squid Game yet. In the meantime, Squid Game fans can watch re-runs of Season 1 to see if they missed anything.
