However, despite winning so many awards this year alone, sometimes even beating out the likes of The Last of Us 2, among others, Hades is only available on the Nintendo Switch and the PC. Now, it seems like that is about to change imminently.

Is a Hades PS4 Version Coming?

As previously mentioned, Hades is only available on the PC and Nintendo Switch at the moment. However, Hades was recently spotted getting rated at a Korean game classification site. Furthermore, the rating was apparently applied for in early April with a decision coming later on during the same month. It’s important to keep in mind though that neither Sony nor Supergiant Games have confirmed that Hades is headed to the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. So, what does this all mean? Chances are, there’s an announcement coming from either Supergiant Games or Sony soon. It’s not unusual for new game releases and ports to leak by accident via game classification sites. Although it’s important to keep in mind that this is no guarantee that a PS4 or a PS5 version is coming soon. It also seems like we should expect Take-Two Interactive to be involved if a Hades PS4 version does release. The owners of the Rockstar Games and 2K studios were seen to be the ones applying for the rating. Anyone who’s been following the development of Hades closely since it was an Early Access title on the Epic Games Store knows this was an eventuality. Supergiant Games has always wanted to bring the game to other platforms. It is possible that the opportunity to bring Hades to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 finally presented itself with the help of Take-Two. If Hades does come to the PlayStation 4, the assumption is that it will release on the PlayStation 5 as well. But, there’s no telling as of yet if the PS5 version of Hades will support next-gen features. If not, then it will still be available on the PS5 via backwards compatibility. Now, if you haven’t had a chance to play Hades yet, then be sure to read our previous coverage where we talked about what Hades is and what made it so popular. Also, speaking of games leaked via classification boards, we’re still awaiting word from either Sony or Gearbox Entertainment if and when the PS4 version of Godfall is coming.
