As if confirming that the next-gen PSVR is currently under development and that Days Gone, among many others, is coming to the PC, weren’t enough, Sony goes on to announce that there’ll be a new episode of the State of Play that is set to air on February 25. The upcoming State of Play episode will be the first to air this 2021.

What to Expect from the February PlayStation State of Play

The February 25 episode of the State of Play will include a mix of new game announcements, as well as updates on the games that were showcased in June 2020. In particular, the focus will be on three upcoming titles. Namely, this includes Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which is set to release in June 2021, as well as Horizon Forbidden West, which hopefully means that we will finally see a fixed release date. Also included in the show will be further details for the delayed Gran Turismo 7 title and the upcoming God of War sequel. It is also possible that we’ll hear more news regarding titles that were also part of the said stream. Here is a list of other titles that we might see on the latest State of Play episode:

Resident Evil: Village GhostWire: Tokyo Grand Theft Auto 5 Jett: The Far Shore Kena: Bridge of Spirits Stray Solar Ash

Sony guarantees in their blog that the February 2021 episode of State of Play will focus exclusively on the upcoming games. While it’s nice to know that the show won’t focus on the business side of things, it also means that we shouldn’t be hearing anything about the upcoming next-gen PS VR headset. Of course, this is already way more than most of us had expected. February has been quite a fruitful month for us gamers. In addition to Sony’s latest string of announcements, Blizzard also delighted audiences with a plethora of good news regarding their franchises. In particular, the official announcement, as well as the potential release dates, of Diablo 2 Resurrected and Diablo Immortal. The State of Play live stream will kick off on February 25 (Thursday) at 2:00 pm (PST), 5:00 pm (EST), 10:00 pm (GMT), and will be available to watch live for free via YouTube and Twitch.
