After the series officially ended in 2015’s Arkham Knight, Rocksteady compiled all three games in 2018 with the Batman Arkham Collection. Unfortunately, the bundle was not released on the Nintendo Switch. But, if a recent leak is true, this is about to change soon. According to French retailer WTT, The Batman Arkham Collection will be released on the Nintendo Switch before August ends. However, the date could easily change anytime as retailers are known to put placeholder dates. Also, this isn’t the first time that WTT “accidentally” leaked info of an upcoming Nintendo Switch port. The same site leaked the Nintendo Switch version of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt months before it was officially announced back in 2019. Only time will tell if WTT’s most recent leak is true and when exactly The Batman Arkham Collection will come to the Nintendo Switch if it is. Speaking of Rocksteady’s Arkham games, the series technically isn’t over yet. After solo Batman outings, Rocksteady is working on a “sequel”. The main difference is that the next game in the series has you controlling a group of individuals and they’re not exactly the good guys. In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X is Earth’s last line of defense against the Brainiac-controlled Justice League. So far, WarnerMedia hasn’t confirmed if Kill the Justice League will be delayed, but the most recent reports suggest that RockSteady’s latest game isn’t coming this year. If it’s any consolation, Batman fans have other stuff to look forward to this year. In addition to a potential Switch port of The Batman Arkham Collection, Matt Reeves’ The Batman is set to premiere on March 4. Meanwhile, WB Games Montréal’s Gotham Knights is still on track to be released in 2022 alongside Hogwarts Legacy.
