It hasn’t been long since Capcom released the multiplatform Resident Evil Village demo, but PC gamers have already found a way to reset the clock. This means that, instead of just an hour, anyone using the exploit can play the Resident Evil Village demo until their heart is content.
How Does the Resident Evil Village Demo Exploit Work?
As it currently stands, Capcom is giving gamers on all platforms an hour to roam the castle grounds and the village to see what the fuss is all about. After the time is up, players will no longer be able to play Resident Evil Village again until the game comes out. Of course, it isn’t long before Resident Evil Village launches. So, it won’t be too long of a wait. However, some players thought that just because you don’t have too long to go until Resident Evil Village arrives, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should exercise patience. For those who’d like to play the Resident Evil Village demo a bit longer, a Steam user under the handle, Leaves, has a solution. The Resident Evil Village demo exploit was posted on Steam in response to another user asking if modders had found a way to circumvent the hour-long timer. To save you the trouble of heading on over to Steam yourself, here’s what you need to do to reset the Resident Evil Village demo restriction:

Admittedly, it’s not a fairly straightforward process. Then again, it’s not too hard either. But, for those who’d like to have another hour-long go at the Resident Evil Village demo, this is heaven-sent. Just don’t forget that this exploit doesn’t let you pick up after your one-hour has ended, it merely lets you play through the Resident Evil Village demo from the start, all over again for the nth time.
