Mind you. This isn’t just random speculation. It’s all real and has now been confirmed by David Ayer himself.
David Ayer confirms Suicide Squad leaks
An image showing Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and Will Smith’s Deadshot sharing an intimate kiss recently went viral. This particular scene was deleted from the final 2016 Suicide Squad movie, so fans never really got to see the obvious on-screen chemistry between the two develop into something more.
— ReleaseTheAyerCut (@RTAyerCutSS) August 13, 2021 In a later tweet, the appropriately named Twitter account ReleaseTheAyerCut, provided further proof that this wasn’t just an edited photo. The image, which shows the original screenplay from Suicide Squad, describes how Harley and Deadshot’s relationship blossoms by, what we assume, is near the end of the DCEU film. Further lending credence to the legitimacy of the screenplay and photo is David Ayer himself. In a tweet addressed to him by a fan where he’s asked which of the cut third act and the Joker parts had been filmed, David answered back by saying, “all of them.”
— David Ayer (@DavidAyerMovies) August 14, 2021 Following the successful release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max earlier this year, fans began asking for David Ayer’s cut of the Suicide Squad as the next potential movie to receive a more extensive re-release. It’s worth noting that Zack Snyder’s Justice League only happened due to popular demand. If the fanbase band together again, who knows? One thing that we do know is that David Ayer wasn’t too happy with how the final version of 2016’s Suicide Squad was edited, even if it was more of a box office success than James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.
