The main highlight of the 2.2GB update is the addition of the Watkins Glen International Circuit. This marks the first time that the circuit will appear in a Gran Turismo game. In real life, the New York State course hosts the six-hour IMSA Sportscar Championship during the summer and is quite popular in other racing sims. Three more cars will also be available in Gran Turismo 7 as part of the update, specifically, the Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo Gr. 3, Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak Special, and the 1932 Ford Roadster. The latter two cards will enter the showroom starting Friday, June 24. Finally, update 1.17 will expand the single-player campaign for Gran Turismo 7 as it adds three “Extra Menu” books to GT Cafe. You can access the menu options in the Cafe as it adds more car collection tasks for Gran Turismo 7 players: Honda Type R, Toyota 86, and “Rotary Engine.” If you’ve been playing Gran Turismo 7 for a while, you might want to check if you’ve completed one or more tasks already. You won’t want to pass up the six-ticket reward that contains new engines for you to play around with. Here’s a list of other noteworthy changes to Gran Turismo 7 in update 1.17:

Online event hosts can now change settings without closing the lobby Addition of the Gold, Silver, and Bronze times as well as the appropriate rewards to the Online Time Trial The return of vehicle horns from Gran Turismo 6 New Steering Controller settings with pedal calibration functionality

For a complete list of documented and undocumented changes, you’ll want to check out the official blog post. Speaking of Gran Turismo, we found out last month that Sony is working on a Gran Turismo movie. Last week, we learned that the adaptation will be a documentary-style film that will borrow elements from the real-life competition, GT Academy.
