Read on below to find out what the new free PS4 game is for PlayStation Plus subscribers and how to redeem it.
What is the New Free PS4 Game for PlayStation Plus Subscribers?
First things first, this is “exclusive” to PlayStation 4 owners and will be available only from now until June 1. Just in case you missed it, Capcom Arcade Stadium has just finally released for the PlayStation 4, among other consoles. It is a free downloadable game via the PlayStation Store that comes with three different expansion packs. Each DLC pack comes with 10 classic games, with a 4th compilation available for a higher price that includes all three packs. With that said, PlayStation Plus subscribers won’t be getting any of those three packs. But, they will be getting one free game. If you go ahead and download Capcom Arcade Stadium right now, you will be able to download Ghosts ’n Goblins for free if you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. It’s not much. It only sells for $2 on the PlayStation Network. Still, it’s a free game. It’s also arguably one of the most infamous games of all time. PlayStation 5 owners also don’t need to worry. Even though you can’t access the new free PS4 game directly via the PS5 console storefront, there is a way to get the free game. You can open up your browser, log in to the PlayStation Store, and download the free game from there. Ghosts ’n Goblins is a side-action platformer that was released way back in 1985 and available via Arcade only for years. It is notorious for its difficulty and an ending that will have you pulling your hair out of frustration. Speaking of free PS4 games for PlayStation Plus subscribers, the May 2021 lineup is still available for those who have yet to download the games yet. In addition to this, some leaks suggest that the June 2021 lineup will be headlined by Star Wars: Squadrons. However, this is not confirmed. It is still possible for the games included in our June 2021 wishlist to be announced. At the moment, fans have a lot to look forward to this last week of May. In addition to the official announcement of the June 2021 lineup, Sony is also set to host a new State of Play event featuring Horizon Forbidden West on May 27. On the same day, fans can also expect the Dying Light 2 showcase by Techland to air.
